Looking Back on 2015

by Erin Hills

Thank you for an exciting year that saw a lot of action at Erin Hills. The golf course enjoyed its best condition to date; the expanded short game area opened; a rebuilt practice putting green and new starter’s house greeted players on their way to the 1st tee; three new white tees made the course more enjoyable for us mortals; the MACC Fund benefited from the money raised by the high school teams in the Lake Country Charity Invitational; Governor Scott Walker spoke at our June media day about the positive impact of golf on Wisconsin’s economy; Eddie Wajda (pictured) prevailed in the 114th Wisconsin State Amateur Championship contested here in July; three staff members of the USGA moved to Wisconsin and set up an office in Elm Grove for the next two years; SMU took top spot in the third Erin Hills Intercollegiate (hosted by Marquette University); and in the restaurant new items such as the Warm Cranberry Blue Cheese Dip and the Fescue Rescue drink became overnight favorites.

Thank you for your continued support of Erin Hills as we move towards June 2017 and the first U.S. Open to be played in Wisconsin!
