The Sommelier’s Preview for 2017

It’s going to be an electrifying year as Erin Hills hosts the U.S. Open Championship and our wine cellar is uncorking a preview of its 2017 offerings for the celebration. Planning began five years ago with members of our staff researching, tasting, and strategically procuring wine based on a combination of quality, rarity, and age-ability in anticipation of its release this season. Each bottle has been stored, untouched, in our temperature and humidity controlled cellar ensuring the ultimate drinking experience.

Highlights include Napa Valley Cabernets with 10-20 years of aging, including selections from 2007, considered Napa Valley’s perfect growing season. French Bordeaux and Burgundy with 20-30 years of aging will round out the old-world selection accompanied by some of Italy and Spain’s finest varietals with 15-20 years in the bottle. Additionally, the list includes one of Australia’s most sought after Shiraz, and a wide variety of large format bottles from the best growing regions in the world.
