We appreciate your interest in becoming a prospective volunteer for the 80th United States Women’s Open at Erin Hills in Erin, WI. Here’s what you can expect from what’s sure to be a memorable volunteer experience in 2025.

General Event Information?

The 80th U.S. Women’s Open will be held from May 26th through June 1st at Erin Hills in Erin, WI. Volunteers will be asked to arrive on May 25th for orientation.

Do I have to make a week-long commitment?

To aid in a smooth operation with clearly defined job responsibilities, we request a week-long commitment.

How do I apply?

Will I receive a confirmation once my application has been submitted?

You will receive confirmation of your completed registration once your form has been submitted.

How many volunteers will be required?

We are looking to secure 75 volunteers to assist in daily course preparations.

What’s the schedule for the week?

The golf course will be maintained during morning and evening sessions. Volunteers are responsible for working both shifts.

What’s there to do between morning and evening maintenance sessions?

Your volunteer credentials will provide you week-long access to spectate the event. Cots will also be available to rest, activities to participate in, and shuttles back to the hotel.

Where will we stay?

Erin Hills has secured hotel accommodations in Delafield, WI, approximately 15 minutes south of the course.

Are there any nightlife/dining options near the hotel?

Yes, actually. The hotel location was selected for its easy access to local restaurants.

What about transportation?

While Erin Hills will not provide transportation from your home course or cover your initial travel costs to Erin Hills, we will have 2-3 daily shuttles the week of the championship, volunteers, and key personnel to and from the course and hotel We will also have a reserved lot (adjacent to the Turfgrass Facility) for those who live in the area and want to drive themselves to the Turfgrass Facility each day.

Will food be provided?

We’ll have a spread of Wisconsin fare provided by Saz’s Catering, a staple in WI since 1976. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be provided each day during the championship. As well as numerous drink options and gourmet coffee. Definitely no powdered eggs during your time at Erin Hills.

Are uniforms provided?

Green industry vendors will be sponsoring uniforms for the week. We’ll throw some extra items in your care package to make for a comfortable and memorable week.

Key dates:

  • December 31st, 2024 – deadline for volunteer submissions
  • January 31st, 2025 – Erin Hills to finalize volunteer list and inform volunteers of their acceptance
  • April 1st, 2025 – Volunteers receive hotel information and additional information regarding the championship
  • May 25th, 2025 – Volunteers arrive at Erin Hills
